May 4 is Star Wars Day, based solely on the pun of "May the Force be with you" sounding like "May the fourth be with you." May 4th is May the Fourth in the Star Wars universe, and to celebrate, Lucasfilm and Autodesk are hosting a Droid Design Contest where fans can create their own unique droids. The winning droid will be featured in an upcoming Star Wars project.
To enter the contest, fans must create an original droid design using Autodesk Tinkercad, a free online 3D design tool. The design can be any type of droid, from a small astromech droid to a large battle droid. The only requirement is that the droid must be original and not based on any existing Star Wars character or design.
The deadline to enter the contest is May 25, 2023, and the winner will be announced on May 4, 2024. For more information on the contest, visit the official website.
